Granada Center for the Performing Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to the effort of preserving The Granada Theater in downtown Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  The membership of this group is open to everyone. We are curently using the facility for special events, fund raisers and it is available for rental. The long term plan is to develop the theater into a multiple use facility. The Granada is now available for live theater, live music performers, wedding receptions, convention meetings, parties, family reunions, etc. We envision this theater to be a place that all citizens appreciate and benefit from. It is one of the nicest facilities of this type in Southern Illinois. We have completed over $500,000 in renovations with private contributions and grant money.
